A Day in Our Lives

We like to say here in Uganda that each day we see something we have never seen in our lives before. Welcome to one day in our lives. Meet Tom Turkey. Our neighbor Florence bought him over 2 months ago for Christmas dinner. Across from Florence's house we encountered a celebration. When we asked, they told us they were celebrating Christmas. Why Christmas in November? We don't know. This celebration was filled with decoration, music and lots and lots of children.
Further up the road a mother hen is watching over her chicks. Here on the road before us was a motorcycle (called Boda Boda) carrying more water jugs then we can count. Reaching our destination, Randy loads up a much needed mattress. The old one is beyond usable.
Here Josh just takes it all in. Quite the sight for our newly arrived son. Going home we encounter a very different kind of traffic that you wouldn't see in our beloved Portland. Is this a jam or what? Finally we just needed to take a pic of this truck loaded down to the gills. Of course there is more, but you get the idea.
